World Wide Travel Information
The Lonely Planet produce some of the most widely read travel guide books in the world, covering more countries than any other. Their current South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland book was published in November 2006, look out for the next edition in August 2009! Just as useful though is their Thorntree Forum where you can ask questions and get advice from other travellers about your trip through any country in the world, including South Africa.
The Rough Guides is also a series of guide books widely read and cover just as many countries as the Lonely Planet, their South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland guide was published slightly more recently in July 2008.
One of the premier online free travel guides. Based on the same platform as Wikipeadia this travel guide is always growing and constantly updated, a good source of the most recent information available. Most useful for researching public transport links and things to do in each area you visit. Unfortunately not so useful in South Africa as the information is sparse and limited, but if you have time why not add to the collection!
