There are many different options for hiking in and around the Wild Spirit Lodge. There are walks on our farm, including an 80m waterfall, and there are longer day hikes in the Tsitsikamma National Park.
The Tsitsikamma National Park is famous for the 5 day Otter Trail, and the 6 day Tsitskikamma Trail. For more information please click the trail below:

Waterfall Walk - 1 hour
Just a short walk from the bar deck takes you to a private waterfall with large rock pools to swim in. Take a picnic and spend a while lounging on a fallen tree enjoying the beauty of the water cascading over the rocks.The Magic Forest - 45 mins
This is a short but stunning stroll though the indegenous forests on our farm following a stream. Say hi to Humphry the Tree-ent and look out for the many inhabitants of the forest. It will take you 45 mins if you are in a hurry, but be carefull... once you are down here it is difficult to want to come back!The Big Tree - 20 mins
The shortest of the walks on our farm is by no means the least impressive. Wonder at the tremendous might of a 1000yr old Yellow Wood tree before stopping at God's Window for an inspiring vista.Sun Rock - 2 hrs
Take a longer hike out through the forests to Sun Rock overlooking the Bobbejaans Kloof. Dare you stand right on the tip for a 360 degree view of the gorge?
In the Tsitsikamma National Park
Just down the road from Wild Spirit and you have Nature's Valley. There are some great Day Hikes to be done within the National Park taking from anywhere between one and 6 hours - or more!
Salt River Cove - 2 hours
Probably the highlight of Nature's Valley is the Salt River Cove. This hike takes you from the beach along the coastal rocks to the Salt River Mouth. The Salt River is famous for the prehistoric endemic species that live in the waters that you will not find anywhere else.Kalanderkloof Trail - 2 hours
The Kalanderkloof Trail is a two hour hike in the botton of a deep indegenous gorge following a semi-dry river bed. There are many animlans the be spotted within the kloof including bush buck, baboons, vervet monkeys and the colourfull Knysna Lourie.Keurpad Route - 2 hours
The Kurpad Route is a walk through fynbos covered hills and valleys which ends at the Salt River Mouth.Combining Routes - 2 to 10hrs
The Routes above can be combined into longer hikes. For Example a popular day hike is the Salt River and Kalanderkloof Trails. This 6 hour hike covers beaches, mountains, valleys, rivers and a lagoon.

There are two places to kayak nearby. You can take a kayak out on the Groot River Lagoon at Nature's Valley, or for a more impressive river to kayak up you can head to Keurbooms River Nature Reserve. This is one of the best river kayaking trips in the area with many beaches to stop to have lunch.

Nature's Valley beach is one of the most pristine on the Garden Route. It is a great place to spend the day relaxing or playing in the waves. The Groot River ends in a lagoon which offers a great swimming location in whisky coloured water.
Further afield there is Keurbooms Beach offering more uninterupted streches of sand and the surfing beaches of Plettenberg Bay
There are some bolted routes to be found in the Crags for climbers with their own gear. Single and Multi pitch routes from 25m with a variety of Grades. One of the most beautiful locations is on a crag overlooking the Salt River.
