STORM UPDATE
Wild Spirit, along with the surrounding areas of Loredo, The Crags, and Kurland, has been heavily affected by one of the biggest storms we’ve seen in years, with some areas receiving between 300–400mm of rain over a very short period.
After the storm and everything the area has been through over the last few days, we’re slowly starting to get Wild Spirit back up and running again.

We will officially reopen from Wednesday, 13 May, and will be taking bookings again for travellers who still want to come through and experience Wild Spirit during this time.​ Wild Spirit has always been a haven for travellers, and we want to keep it that way for the people who genuinely want to be here, connect, and be part of the experience, even through challenging times.

At this stage, bookings will currently only be available for Dove Family Rooms and the Dove Dorm. The campsite and safari tents will remain unavailable to book for now. We are also currently running one generator dedicated to water pumping, and one generator for lights, Wi-Fi, and essential lodge connectivity.

FOR HOT WATER SHOWERS: WE ARE NOW RUNNING A GAS GEYSER IN THE OUTDOOR SHOWERS NEXT TO LOERIE COTTAGE AS WELL AS AN ADDITIONAL ONE IN OUR CAMPSITE.

At the moment, two of our guest cottages (private rooms and dorms) are without lights and hot water, however the communal lodge areas have lights and reliable Wi-Fi and everything still feels cosy and lovely.Candles are being provided in all guest rooms.

While the first major storm has now passed, the region is currently experiencing widespread utility challenges, including:
• Area wide power outages
• Limited water supplies
• No hot water/heating in some areas (including us at Wild Spirit)
• Intermittent cell signal and network connectivity
The local municipality and repair teams are working hard to restore services, but at this stage we unfortunately cannot confirm when the full power grid and utilities will return.​ That said, if you’re happy to embrace a little adventure and rough it out with us through the stormy magic of the Garden Route, we would still absolutely love to take care of our guests.

STAY
We offer a range of simple and affordable accommodation options on the farm. These include private en-suite double, twin and family rooms, en-suite bunk-free dorms, garden safari tents and off-the-grid forest campsites.
General facilities include our lodge kitchen, which serves healthy home-cooked meals, a conscious bar, communal self-catering kitchens, fire pits, yoga studio, craft shop, tattoo studio,WIFI connection, and a shuttle service to the amenities and activities nearby.
Regular yoga, qigong, massage, BSR and a variety of other holistic wellness therapies and nature-based activities are available on the farm.
