STORM UPDATE
Wild Spirit, along with the surrounding areas of Loredo, The Crags, and Kurland, has been heavily affected by one of the biggest storms we’ve seen in years, with some areas receiving between 300–400mm of rain over a very short period.
While the first major storm has now passed,
the region is currently experiencing widespread utility challenges, including:
• Power outages
• Limited water supply
• No hot water/heating in some areas (including us at Wild Spirit)
• Intermittent cell signal and network connectivity
At the moment, our guest rooms are without lights and hot water,
however the communal lodge areas have lights and reliable Wi-Fi and everything still feels cosy and lovely.
Candles are being provided in all guest rooms.

The local municipality and repair teams are working hard to restore services,
but at this stage we unfortunately cannot confirm when the full power grid and utilities will return.
That said, if you’re happy to embrace a little adventure and rough it out with us through
the stormy magic of the Garden Route, we would still absolutely love to take care of our guests.
