VOLUNTEERING AT WILD SPIRIT
Volunteers play a big role in the day-to-day life at Wild Spirit. Many of the friendly faces you’ll meet around the lodge are volunteers who have come from around the world to experience life on the farm and be part of our community.
Our volunteer program is a hospitality-based exchange where volunteers gain hands-on experience in reception, guest relations, housekeeping, bar service, and general lodge operations.
In exchange, volunteers receive accommodation in our cozy safari tents and enjoy home-style shared meals while experiencing the unique rhythm of life here at Wild Spirit.
Volunteer Life
Life as a volunteer at Wild Spirit is a balance of meaningful work, learning new skills, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Garden Route.
Volunteers work 6–7 hour shifts, 5 days a week, helping with different aspects of lodge life.
Outside of shifts there’s plenty of time to enjoy the space and the community. Volunteers can join free daily yoga, share breakfast together, and gather for family-style dinners in the evenings.
There are also plenty of fun moments along the way, movie and Trivia nights, beach missions, exploring the forest, pool hangouts, and meeting people from all over the world.
